An intimate songwriter series where the voices behind country music's greatest hits share the untold stories that made them.

Ashland Craft introduced her brand of country music with her debut album, Travelin’ Kind, available everywhere now. Among CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2021 and Pandora’s Country Artists to Watch 2021, American Songwriter claims, “there’s a new country badass in town, and her name is Ashland Craft,” also praising, “this girl has star quality flying out of her boots.”
Featured on HIXTAPE: Vol. 2 with BROTHERS OSBORNE on “I Smoke Weed,” CMT’s “can’t miss” country star on the rise supported ASHLEY MCBRYDE’s This Town Talks Tour 2022, adding to her touring résumé alongside recent direct support slots opening for CODY JOHNSON, BROTHERS OSBORNE, ZAC BROWN BAND, LUKE COMBS, MORGAN WALLEN, and MARCUS KING.
Ashland also kicked off 2023 with the Long Live Cowgirls Tour as direct support for IAN MUNSICK. Discovering her honky-tonk spirit while cutting her teeth at bars in her South Carolina hometown, Craft buzzes under the influence of musical heroes Def Leppard, Chris Stapleton, Bonnie Raitt, The Chicks, and Sheryl Crow.

At only seventeen, courageously uprooting herself from Annapolis, MD, Flaherty pursued Nashville in an effort to fully immerse herself in songwriting. She dedicated herself to mastering the guitar, honing her songwriting craft, and delivering captivating performances. Further validating her pursuit, Flaherty's enchanting voice recently graced screens in Kevin Costner's critically acclaimed series, "Horizon: An American Saga," where she rendered the timeless hymn, "Amazing Grace" while also sharing the stage with Costner's band Modern West on select tour dates.
Accompanying her involvement in Costner's Horizon series, Flaherty has introduced her artistry with the following releases “Under The Influence,” "little UGLY," and most recently "Liquor With Cowboys." For all the latest news on Alyssa, check out her site here:

Aaron Raitiere (Ray-Tee-Air) is a lyricist, performer, and visual artist from Central KY. He is highly sought after in the Nashville songwriting community for his unique ability to coax coherent and focused creative output from his co-writers.
Raitiere is a recent Grammy nominee for his song “I’ll Never Love Again” performed by Lady Gaga in the movie A Star Is Born. He has also successfully collaborated with artists such as Anderson East, The Oak Ridge Boys, Robert Randolph, Whiskey Myers, Montgomery Gentry, Miranda Lambert, Brent Cobb, Ashley Monroe, Randy Rogers, Ashley McBryde, Lori McKenna, Shooter Jennings, Natalie Hemby, Ed Sheeran, Avicci, and many others.
Raitiere graduated from Cornell University with a BA in American Studies and subsequently received an MFA in Recording Arts from MTSU. He is currently a staff writer for Warner Chappell and Dave Cobb's Low Country Sound. His paintings are hanging in businesses and homes all over the country.

James Otto has been called the biggest voice in country music, and that might just be true. Standing a broad-shouldered 6 feet 5 inches tall, Otto has a powerhouse voice to match. His textured, sometimes raspy vocals are delivered with passion and plenty of soul. Otto blends that soulful voice with great storytelling and a smooth, funky groove to create his signature Country Soul sound.
Otto rose to prominence when he signed with Warner Bros. and released the album Sunset Man. His breakthrough hit, "Just Got Started Lovin' You," went to the top of the charts as a 2-week #1 song and became the "most played country song of the year." Otto also received a Grammy nomination for "Best Male Country Vocal Performance" of the song. The hit's popularity has endured, as it’s on the list of Billboard's 100 Greatest Country Songs, confirming it as one of the most played songs in the history of country radio.
A founding member of MuzikMafia, Otto has also earned a reputation as one of Nashville’s most compelling songwriters. He co-wrote Jamey Johnson’s career-defining hit, “In Color," and for that song, Otto again received a Grammy nod, but this time as a songwriter for "Best Country Song." “In Color” brought further recognition, as he took home awards for both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Academy’s “Song of the Year.” Later, Otto co-penned "Somethin' 'Bout a Boat" for Jimmy Buffett, which uniquely made its way to Broadway as part of the musical Escape to Margaritaville. He also co-wrote “No Hurry,” which soared to the top of the charts for the Zac Brown Band. Additionally, Otto has collaborated on songs for artists: Randy Houser, Chris Janson, Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins, Josh Kiser, John Rich, John Anderson, Randy Owen, the supergroup Alabama, and many more.
His highly anticipated new album Self Made Fool is slated for release this year. : https://jamesotto.net

The Tradition -------
Nashville's songwriter round is one of music's most intimate traditions — a circle of writers, each telling the story behind the song before playing it. No backing band. No staging. Just a guitar, a voice, and the truth of where the song came from.
Southern Rounds brings that tradition to Analog @ The Hutton Hotel — Nashville's finest listening room — featuring the writers behind some of country music's most celebrated recordings.

THE ARTISTS ------
Growing up in Arkansas, Erin Enderlin was drawn to her papaw's record collection — before she even hit kindergarten, she was hooked on country music. Today, Rolling Stone says her songs are "the stuff of country classics — concise, tear-stained, and all too relatable.
"Elton John spotlighted her on his Rocket Hour show. The Country Music Hall of Fame featured her in its American Currents exhibit. A regular on the Grand Ole Opry — 30 appearances and counting — Enderlin has seen 50+ of her songs recorded by Lee Ann Womack, Reba, Willie Nelson, Luke Bryan, and The War and Treaty. She recently co-wrote "Blood in the River" for an upcoming 2026 Amazon Prime series produced by Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner.
Moose won the Grammy Award for Best Country Song for co-writing "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" — Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett's iconic anthem. As a touring musician he was a core member of Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band.
As a producer, he co-produced Jamey Johnson's That Lonesome Song — ACM and CMA Song of the Year for "In Color," Grammy-nominated for Album of the Year. The ACM Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year (2015, 2017, 2023), Moose has played on over 40 #1 singles and soundtracks including Pixar's Cars. Inducted into both the Arkansas and Michigan Country Music Halls of Fame.
Multi-instrumentalist Alex Kline is among Nashville's premier No. 1 hit producers and songwriters. She made history as the first woman to solely produce a Mediabase #1 country hit with Tenille Arts' "Somebody Like That."
Nominated for AIMP Nashville Rising Songwriter of the Year and Music Row's Female Songwriter of the Year, her production work spans Tenille Arts, Tigirlily Gold, Harper Grace, Terri Clark, Maggie Rose, Ronnie Dunn, and more. Kline writes for Curb-Word Publishing.
Emerging from the heart of Arkansas, Sofie Smithson is a powerhouse country vocalist and songwriter leading the breakout band Sofie and The New Relics. With a voice reminiscent of Loretta Lynn and the storytelling spark of Emmylou Harris, Sofie blends classic country soul with modern Americana edge.
Reviewers consistently note her ability to connect deeply with audiences — making every performance feel personal and alive.
What Audiences Say
"
I've been to dozens of shows in Nashville. Nothing comes close to the intimacy of Southern Rounds. When the writer tells you where a song came from, you can never hear it the same way again.
