An intimate songwriter series where the voices behind country music's greatest hits share the untold stories that made them.

Rob Snyder is a Singer-Songwriter from West Chester, PA. Snyder’s appetite for music began at an early age and was encouraged by his family, as both of his grandfathers were musicians and writers.Snyder launched “Revival” at the Tin Roof on Demonbreun Street in Nashville in 2013. With the moniker “Hank and Jesus are watching”, “Revival” showcases some of country music’s most talented songwriters every Tuesday.
Snyder has had songs recorded by Luke Combs’ 4 Week Billboard Number One Song “She Got The Best of Me” as well as “Six Feet Apart” and “Dear Today”, Ashland Craft, Will Hoge, The Davisson Brothers Band, & Adam Hood. You can find his debut album “The Way That I am” that was released in June of 2020 on all digital platforms.

Phillip Lammonds is a songwriter and talented instrumentalist from the musically rich mountains of North Carolina. From his childhood in the mountains to his time in the South Carolina Lowcountry, it was this melting pot of sounds and rhythms that formed his musical sensibilities. When pressed, Phillip describes his musical and writing styles as “raking through a toolbox in the dark.” In his opinion,“Songs aren’t really written, they are caught like a fish. They’re out there swimming around. But they aren’t always biting.”
After college, Phillip was a founder of The Blue Dogs, a beloved and critically acclaimed bluegrass and rock inspired jam band. He then started his family in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina while working as a fishing guide, a falconer, and the owner of the islands Southeby’s real estate company. All the while, Phillip wrote songs and traveled to Nashville to pitch them. After fifteen years, fifty or so trips to Nashville, and cuts on major artists—Hootie and the Blowfish, Josh Turner, Craig Morgan—Phillip moved to music city to pursue songwriting full time. He stepped onto the scene with a publishing deal from Curb Entertainment and a back catalog nearly five hundred songs strong. Phillip’s songs have been recorded by artists like Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Edwin McCain, Craig Morgan, Kellie Pickler, Mo Pitney, and Dylan Scott.

Born and raised in West Virginia, Philip Bowen’s uplifting sound is heavily inspired byhis Appalachian roots.
The dynamic singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist began playing fiddle at the age of four, and his virtuoso skills have become quitepopular on TikTok, with over 4 million likes and 645k followers on the platform alone. His popularity on the app even propelled him to win TikTok’s Gamers Greatest Talent competition, earning $25k and beating out thousands of other competitors.
Bowen has been writing songs since he was a teenager, but never thought it would be possible to have a career in music. After earning an MBA from the University of Tampa,a friend encouraged him to create an account on TikTok and his fiddle covers and original songs took on a life of their own.
He continues to release his original music, spreading his message of positivity to an audience that has been growing rapidly. He made his debut at the world famous “Bluebird Café” as a featured performer in May of 2022. With guest spots on Ross Golan’s “And the demo is...” and praise from Yahoo, PopMatters, and Atwood Magazine, it’s easy to see why the Nashville Songwriters Association International dubbed this inspirational artist “one to watch.

At just 21 years old, singer, songwriter, and self-taught guitarist Payton Smith has a lot to celebrate. Since co-writing his debut single “Like I Knew You Would” and releasing his self-titled EP in late 2019, the Louisiana native has amassed over 35 million streams worldwide and was the most-added new artist to country radio in 2020.
Known for his high-energy guitar slinging and smooth vocals, the CMT 2021 Listen Up artist also composed and played every string instrument on each track of his debut project. As Taste of Country noted, his “raw talent, authenticity and strong work ethic are bound to bring him country music success for many, many years,” naming him one of 2021’s Hottest Country Artists Under 25.
MusicRow called Smith the “2021 Next Big Thing,” while “Like I Knew You Would” charted as the No. 7 song of the year on Spotify’s Hot Country. With a collection of new music on the way and live shows returning, 2021 is shaping up to be a true breakout year for Payton Smith.

The Tradition -------
Nashville's songwriter round is one of music's most intimate traditions — a circle of writers, each telling the story behind the song before playing it. No backing band. No staging. Just a guitar, a voice, and the truth of where the song came from.
Southern Rounds brings that tradition to Analog @ The Hutton Hotel — Nashville's finest listening room — featuring the writers behind some of country music's most celebrated recordings.

THE ARTISTS ------
Growing up in Arkansas, Erin Enderlin was drawn to her papaw's record collection — before she even hit kindergarten, she was hooked on country music. Today, Rolling Stone says her songs are "the stuff of country classics — concise, tear-stained, and all too relatable.
"Elton John spotlighted her on his Rocket Hour show. The Country Music Hall of Fame featured her in its American Currents exhibit. A regular on the Grand Ole Opry — 30 appearances and counting — Enderlin has seen 50+ of her songs recorded by Lee Ann Womack, Reba, Willie Nelson, Luke Bryan, and The War and Treaty. She recently co-wrote "Blood in the River" for an upcoming 2026 Amazon Prime series produced by Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner.
Moose won the Grammy Award for Best Country Song for co-writing "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" — Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett's iconic anthem. As a touring musician he was a core member of Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band.
As a producer, he co-produced Jamey Johnson's That Lonesome Song — ACM and CMA Song of the Year for "In Color," Grammy-nominated for Album of the Year. The ACM Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year (2015, 2017, 2023), Moose has played on over 40 #1 singles and soundtracks including Pixar's Cars. Inducted into both the Arkansas and Michigan Country Music Halls of Fame.
Multi-instrumentalist Alex Kline is among Nashville's premier No. 1 hit producers and songwriters. She made history as the first woman to solely produce a Mediabase #1 country hit with Tenille Arts' "Somebody Like That."
Nominated for AIMP Nashville Rising Songwriter of the Year and Music Row's Female Songwriter of the Year, her production work spans Tenille Arts, Tigirlily Gold, Harper Grace, Terri Clark, Maggie Rose, Ronnie Dunn, and more. Kline writes for Curb-Word Publishing.
Emerging from the heart of Arkansas, Sofie Smithson is a powerhouse country vocalist and songwriter leading the breakout band Sofie and The New Relics. With a voice reminiscent of Loretta Lynn and the storytelling spark of Emmylou Harris, Sofie blends classic country soul with modern Americana edge.
Reviewers consistently note her ability to connect deeply with audiences — making every performance feel personal and alive.
What Audiences Say
"
I've been to dozens of shows in Nashville. Nothing comes close to the intimacy of Southern Rounds. When the writer tells you where a song came from, you can never hear it the same way again.
