An intimate songwriter series where the voices behind country music's greatest hits share the untold stories that made them.

Stephen Wilson Jr.'s journey from the hollers of southern Indiana to Nashville, Tenn. has been a winding road that's taken many detours: He's been an Indiana State Golden Gloves boxing championship finalist, a scientist, and a lead guitarist and songwriter in an indie rock band. In 2016, he ditched his laboratory 9-to-5 and signed a publishing deal with BMG Nashville where his alchemic songcraft immediately made waves, leading to cuts from Caitlyn Smith, Old Dominion, Tim McGraw, Sixpence None the Richer, Leigh Nash, and more.
2023 proved to be Wilson Jr.'s breakthrough year, signing with Big Loud Records and releasing his debut double album søn of dad: a triumphant, genre-spanning set of 22 songs dedicated to his late father and given to the world on the five-year anniversary of his passing. The album was named the No. 1 album of 2023 by Holler, who called it “a record for the ages,” and earned a spot as one of the best albums of the year from Whiskey Riff, Wide Open Country, and Rolling Stone.
In 2024, he made his network television debut on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers, followed by performances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's #LateShowMeMusic series and Later... with Jools Holland. Ahead of the one-year anniversary of søn of dad, Wilson Jr. was also profiled in an extensive feature for CBS Saturday Morning.
So far in 2025, Wilson Jr. released a deluxe edition of his debut album that features a moving interpretation of “Stand By Me” that has been streamed tens of millions of times. He is fresh off the heels of an entirely sold-out 2025 U.S. run of his søn of dad tour and is supporting HARDY on his Jim Bob Tour on select dates from May through September, including the final show at Madison Square Garden. This summer he made his Newport Folk Festival and Red Rocks debuts and throughout the year will perform at Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Boots and Hearts, Whiskey Moon, and more.

Country music trailblazer Lainey Wilson continues to take over the world, capturing the hearts of music fans, the excitement of the industry, and the recognition of her peers, while keeping her boots firmly planted on the ground. Her monumental rise continues with major milestones, including winning four awards at the 60th Annual ACM Awards: Entertainer of the Year (her second consecutive win), Female Artist of the Year (her third consecutive win), Album of the Year (Whirlwind), and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. Additionally, she was recently inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, co-hosted the 58th Annual CMA Awards with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, headlined the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Halftime Show, and is in the midst of her sold-out Whirlwind World Tour, which spans across Europe and North America.
Wilson’s latest studio album, Whirlwind, also earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards and was hailed by The Tennessean as “the best release of her career.” Whirlwind debuted at #8 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart and #13 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart, marking Wilson’s first top 10 and top 15 entries, respectively. Produced by Jay Joyce, Whirlwind provides a daringly honest exploration of Wilson’s life and journey around the globe. A diverse yet sonically cohesive collection of songs, the album bends genres while remaining true to her Western roots.
The Grammy-winning, CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year is a prolific, sought-after songwriter who has scored eight No. 1 hits including “4x4xU," “Wildflowers and Wild Horses," “Watermelon Moonshine,” and the 2x PLATINUM Certified “Heart Like a Truck," in addition to award-winning collaborations with Cole Swindell (“Never Say Never”), Jelly Roll (“Save Me”), and HARDY (“wait in the truck”). Moreover, Wilson wrote and recorded “Out of Oklahoma” for the Twisters movie and has collaborated with artists such as Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Post Malone, Myles Smith, and more. She is also a triple threat as a singer, songwriter, and actor and will make her feature film acting debut in next year’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him, after first acting in Paramount’s hit television series, Yellowstone.
Beyond her artistry, Wilson’s on-stage performances triumph from sold-out tours across America, Australia, and Europe to highly coveted music festivals such as Stagecoach, Lollapalooza, and Watershed. https://www.laineywilson.com

The Tradition -------
Nashville's songwriter round is one of music's most intimate traditions — a circle of writers, each telling the story behind the song before playing it. No backing band. No staging. Just a guitar, a voice, and the truth of where the song came from.
Southern Rounds brings that tradition to Analog @ The Hutton Hotel — Nashville's finest listening room — featuring the writers behind some of country music's most celebrated recordings.

THE ARTISTS ------
Growing up in Arkansas, Erin Enderlin was drawn to her papaw's record collection — before she even hit kindergarten, she was hooked on country music. Today, Rolling Stone says her songs are "the stuff of country classics — concise, tear-stained, and all too relatable.
"Elton John spotlighted her on his Rocket Hour show. The Country Music Hall of Fame featured her in its American Currents exhibit. A regular on the Grand Ole Opry — 30 appearances and counting — Enderlin has seen 50+ of her songs recorded by Lee Ann Womack, Reba, Willie Nelson, Luke Bryan, and The War and Treaty. She recently co-wrote "Blood in the River" for an upcoming 2026 Amazon Prime series produced by Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner.
Moose won the Grammy Award for Best Country Song for co-writing "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" — Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett's iconic anthem. As a touring musician he was a core member of Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band.
As a producer, he co-produced Jamey Johnson's That Lonesome Song — ACM and CMA Song of the Year for "In Color," Grammy-nominated for Album of the Year. The ACM Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year (2015, 2017, 2023), Moose has played on over 40 #1 singles and soundtracks including Pixar's Cars. Inducted into both the Arkansas and Michigan Country Music Halls of Fame.
Multi-instrumentalist Alex Kline is among Nashville's premier No. 1 hit producers and songwriters. She made history as the first woman to solely produce a Mediabase #1 country hit with Tenille Arts' "Somebody Like That."
Nominated for AIMP Nashville Rising Songwriter of the Year and Music Row's Female Songwriter of the Year, her production work spans Tenille Arts, Tigirlily Gold, Harper Grace, Terri Clark, Maggie Rose, Ronnie Dunn, and more. Kline writes for Curb-Word Publishing.
Emerging from the heart of Arkansas, Sofie Smithson is a powerhouse country vocalist and songwriter leading the breakout band Sofie and The New Relics. With a voice reminiscent of Loretta Lynn and the storytelling spark of Emmylou Harris, Sofie blends classic country soul with modern Americana edge.
Reviewers consistently note her ability to connect deeply with audiences — making every performance feel personal and alive.
What Audiences Say
"
I've been to dozens of shows in Nashville. Nothing comes close to the intimacy of Southern Rounds. When the writer tells you where a song came from, you can never hear it the same way again.
